OrbitRemit is an innovative and fast growing digital payments company. We have developed world leading technology enabling our customers to transfer money internationally at the best possible exchange rate, for the lowest possible fee. We are a disruptive force in the area of cross border payments helping our customers send money to where it's needed most. In 2021, we saved our customers over $50M vs using the banks. Every dollar our customers send is hard earned and we take pride in our mission of reducing the costs and complexity associated with international payments.
Until now we have let our product speak for itself and have been very successful with Word of Mouth and paid referral. We have spent the last 13 years building our product, infrastructure and network of partners. Our customer proposition is excellent and when customers use us they come back. We have an NPS of 84 and a category leading 4.9 star Trustpilot rating, which speaks volumes about the hard work that has already been done. The business has grown consistently since initially launching in NZ in 2008, with a healthy AU business despite no local team or specific activity. We're now focused on growing the AU business and looking for the right people to take us to greater heights.
The role:
The Digital Marketing Manager will report to the Head of Marketing (based in Sydney). Their initial focus will be on supporting the Head of Marketing to grow the Australian business, and over time the remit will expand to include NZ marketing channels. Responsibilities will include:
- The core focus is on driving acquisition via digital marketing channels.
- Hands on management of digital marketing channels including paid search, SEO, paid social, affiliates, display, email marketing, onsite/app conversion rate optimisation.
- End to end management of digital campaigns and activity - implementation, optimization, reporting.
- Regular reporting and analysis to track and optimise all activity,
- Management of budgets and forecasts for digital marketing channels
- Ongoing competitive analysis of key category competitors and their marketing activity
- Data driven approach to marketing - able to identify and analyse market, company and performance trends to ensure marketing activity is fully optimised.
- Briefing and collaborating with 3rd party agencies where required - media agency etc.
- Sponsorship/event support as required - we work closely with grassroot community organisations and the OrbitRemit team all support in attending occasional events as required.
What you'll bring:
OrbitRemit combines the best elements of a mature business with start-up culture. It's a profitable business with superb product/market fit, but still small enough where entrepreneurial, pro-active people can make an impact. We're looking for someone who identifies with most of the following:
- 5+ years digital marketing experience
- Demonstrated hands on experience and expertise driving results across digital marketing channels including paid search, SEO, paid social, affiliates, display, email marketing, onsite/app conversion rate optimisation.
- Experience with martech/data platforms including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Looker/Tableau, Iterable, SEMRush, Hubspot, Mailchimp etc
- A positive self-starter, who brings energy. We have a small team, and this is the second hire in Australia. This role will be critical in helping to develop and define the culture we want to establish in the business, and make it the best place to work in Australia.
- Data driven marketer - you are comfortable with collecting and analysing data, understanding the opportunities, and prioritising actions based on the insights.
- Exposure to events or sponsorships is an advantage, but not essential.
- Financial services and/or payments experience is ideal, but not mandatory
- Agency or client side experience welcome
- Agile, collaborative, flexible and comfortable with execution - this is a lean team, and we're seeking people who have a bias to action. Who are comfortable Thinking + Doing.
